A Pulse Vacuum Autoclave is an advanced sterilization device that uses multiple vacuum cycles to remove air and ensure efficient steam penetration. It is commonly used in medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory settings.

Working Principle:

  • Pre-Vacuum Phase:

    • The autoclave removes air from the chamber using a vacuum pump.

    • This step ensures uniform steam penetration, especially for porous or wrapped materials.

  • Steam Injection & Sterilization:

    • High-temperature steam (121°C–134°C) is introduced into the chamber.

    • The steam kills bacteria, viruses, and spores through heat and pressure.

  • Pulsed Vacuum Cycles:

    • The vacuum alternates with steam pulses to ensure complete air removal.

    • This improves sterilization efficiency, especially for hollow or complex instruments.

  • Drying Phase:

    • After sterilization, the vacuum system removes moisture.

    • Ensures that sterilized items remain dry and ready for use.
